The Teacher Center of Broome County is funded yearly by a grant from the NY State Education department. It is governed by a Policy Board composed of 51% teachers, as well as representation by administrators, community, parents, higher education and business representatives.

Broome County Teacher Center Consortium includes: Teachers in all Broome County districts EXCEPT those that work within the Johnson City and Union Endicott districts, which have their own Teacher Centers. Also included are teachers from BT BOCES, BC Head Start, Hillel Academy, Greater Binghamton Health Center, Children's Home of Wyoming Conference, Ross Corners Christian Academy and all Catholic schools in Binghamton.
