CV third-grader proposes play area in honor of ‘Super Cooper'
Caleb Dancesia, accompanied by his mother and sister, Laura and Emma Dancesia, met with students and staff at the Tech Academy to outline his proposal for building sensory tables for young people to enjoy while visiting the Fenton Free Library in Hillcrest. Caleb is a close friend of Cole Busch, older brother of the late Cooper Busch, whose courageous battle with a rare form of leukemia earned him the nickname “Super Cooper.”

Caleb knew how much Cooper loved the library, so he wants to create a play area to be called Cooper’s Corner. Laura, his mom, approached BOCES about the possibility of getting help building the tables, and Principal Matt Sheehan referred her to the Tech Academy 9 class.

Caleb prepared a great presentation that highlighted what he would like the student’s to build. The presentation included some heartwarming photos and memories of Cooper and his family. He spoke in front of a group of 15 ninth-graders. The class will soon begin designing and building the tables, which will contain the “Super Cooper” emblem.

The family plans to have a grand opening for the play area at the library once Cooper’s Corner is completed.
