BOCES speech pathologist joins veterans flight to D.C.

Graham, a United States Air Force veteran, will serve as the trip’s chaplain assistant, a position she held while serving in the Air Force. Her role for the trip is that of veteran counselor, as the group, part of the Twin Tiers Honor Flight program, tours the Vietnam Wall, the Korea Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Iwo Jima Memorial, and, last, the Air Force Memorial.

“Some of the places we’ll visit may be very emotional for some of the veterans,” Graham said. “Part of my role in being along for this important visit is to provide support for the veterans.”

The group is expected to return to Binghamton by approximately 8 p.m.

WBNG-TV is scheduled to make the trip to document the group’s tour for broadcast.
