MOVE students mark 100 days with 100 steps

First implemented by BOCES in 2008, MOVE (mobility opportunities via education) employs an activity-based curriculum designed to teach basic, functional motor skills needed for adult life. The MOVE curriculum combines natural body movement with an instructional process designed to help individuals acquire increasing amounts of independence in sitting, standing and walking. Since its inception at BOCES, dozens of students have seen improved mobility and independence as a result of the specialized equipment, training and overall philosophy.
