New Visions students meet Governor Hochul

Last week our Broome-Tioga BOCES New Visions Law & Government Academy students attended New York State Governor Kathy Hochul’s announcement of a $10 million revitalization initiative award to the Village of Johnson City.

New Visions teacher Ani Loew said the students were invited to attend the announcement due to consistent networking with the governor’s office over the past six years. Although Governor Hochul was on a tight schedule that day, she invited our students on stage for a brief meet and greet, as well as a photo. The governor asked our students about their experience with New Visions, and after they explained it, she applauded them for getting a jump-start on their eventual careers.

Our New Visions Law & Government Academy represents us very well.  Thank you to our students and staff who worked to make this happen.
