Broome-Tioga BOCES has announced Christine (Chrissy) Choi as its new Executive Officer of Operations. Choi is a seasoned educator and administrator and brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Most recently Choi served as the Director of the South Central Regional Information Center (SCRIC). In this role, she focused on continuing to cultivate a positive organizational culture and worked to implement several strategic technology initiatives in the SCRIC region and statewide.
Choi's experience extends to the classroom as well, having worked as a business education teacher at Union-Endicott CSD and adjunct professor at SUNY-Broome. Her hands-on teaching experience, combined with her administrative prowess, gives her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities within the educational landscape.
Chrissy enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events and concerts, and being outdoors.
She is taking over for Dan Myers who will be retiring at the end of December.
“Dan has been an incredible mentor to me,” Choi said. “I know that I have some big shoes to fill when he leaves, but I’m excited to take on this new role and look forward to building relationships with the Management Support Services teams and continuing to support the great work they do on behalf of BT BOCES and the educational communities we serve.”
