On Nov. 29, a public vote will be held to seek approval for a Capital Project that would bring building improvements and additional space for programs at Broome Tioga BOCES.One reason for the initiative is that the main education center at the campus in Binghamton was built in 1972 and is in need of vital repairs. Another factor is that there is a need for more classroom space to further grow its programming. Watch the story on WBNG.

Students in the engineering P-Tech Program at BOCES decorated the front entrance at Roberson Museum and Science Center with handmade displays they created from scratch. The students spent five weeks developing a concept for the holiday light event.After drafting a design, sponsors from Raymond Corp. and individuals from the Roberson selected each light attraction that would be a part of this year’s event. Because of a program that started on Nov. 1, you’ll no longer have to worry about sending your child to school with lunch money. Congratulations to our Mikey Haefner on his two golds in Special Olympics, and how fun that WBNG's Erin Lawlor visited our main campus for a story. While celebrating Mikey and all the athletes, the story also serves as a preview for this Saturday's (November 4) Polar Plunge at Chenango Valley State Park. The plunging gets going at noon, with preliminary fun events scheduled for the late morning before folks jump in!

We celebrated the grand opening of our newly improved food pantry at West Learning Center on October 16. With that date being World Food Day 2023, it was appropriate to unveil the new food pantry after also receiving a $14,000 grant from the Southern Tier Food Pantry. The grant helped purchase two large refrigerator/freezer units.
