BOCES speech pathologist joins veterans flight to D.C.

Bright and early the morning of September 15, Jean Graham, Broome-Tioga BOCES speech language pathologist for our PALS, Oak Tree and Evertech programs, will board a flight carrying 87 veterans and 65 guardians, as the group embarks on a day-long trip to Washington, D.C.

New school year at BOCES begins September 9

Students who attend classes at the Glenwood Education Center, East Learning Center or West Learning Center will begin the 2021-2022 school year on Thursday, September 9. Students who attend classes at BOCES' district-based programs will follow the opening date of the district in which the classroom is located.

Students complete tribute to fallen officer, project moves to Discover Center

Put on hold due to the pandemic, a construction project honoring the service of fallen Johnson City Police Office David “DW” Smith was recently completed by students in several BOCES career & technical programs, then loaded onto trucks and delivered to the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier. Job advisor receives BOCES' top leadership award

The most prestigious service award annually bestowed by the Broome-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services this year goes to special needs job advisor Dave Cottrell.
The 2021 Ron Dougherty Award was presented to Cottrell on May 12 during BOCES’ annual employee recognition event (virtual).
