Welding requires that all applicants take a reading assessment exam prior to enrollment.  Exam will be scheduled once application is received and enrollment opens. 
  

FALL
Manufacturing Welding
 
Prepare for employment in manufacturing as an entry-level, certified welder. Learn TIG and MIG welding and related processes and techniques reinforced by daily hands-on instruction and practice. Modern equipment and techniques are used during training. Metal, Materials and common shop tools are provided in the welding lab.
Students are prepared for and given the opportunity to take the American Welding Society (AWS) Certification test.

Days:      Monday – Thursday
Time:      3:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Tuition:   $2,995
The following items are needed in the Welding class:
  1. Jeans or other heavy duty cotton work pants
  2. Work boots
  3. Cotton shirt
 
 
SPRING - CLASS IS FULL
Construction Welding
 
Prepare for employment in construction as an entry-level certified welder. Learn Gas Cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, Flux Core Arc Welding and Stick Welding and related processes and techniques reinforced by daily hands-on instruction and practice. Modern Equipment and techniques are used during training. Metal, materials and common shop tools are provided in the welding lab.
Students are prepared for and given the opportunity to take the American Welding Society (AWS) Certification and the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification tests.

Attend an Information Meeting – 

Information meetings provide detailed information on programs, registration procedures and tuition assistance options. They will be held on the first Tuesday in April, June and October at 10:30AM and 5:00PM in the Education Center at 435 Glenwood Road. Please call ahead to register.

Tuition includes textbooks and program specific supplies.  Any personal items, such as uniforms, watches and footwear are the responsibility of the student.
