WLC Crossroads

Our comprehensive, K-8 program supports learners with disabilities that benefit from a smaller classroom; tailored to significantly strengthen social-emotional and/or academic achievement. The program prioritizes the unique goals of each student to inform instructional strategies using a standards-based curriculum.  Our focused student to teacher ratio supports differentiation with high expectations for all students.

Our commitment at Crossroads begins with the belief that all children can achieve success when provided with a dedicated environment that cultivates a sense of belonging and purpose. Our consistent classroom routines encourage students to take risks with their learning and demonstrate behavioral and academic growth. Learning should produce inquiry and exploration using multiple modalities.

We create a community setting within our classrooms and throughout our building using research-based strategies: Responsive Classroom, Life Space Crisis Intervention, Restorative Practices, Mindfulness, and PBIS.  Our student-centered philosophy promotes active responsibility and engagement of the learner. We apply a problem-solving mindset to all our daily practices, including disciplinary procedures, driven by data analysis. At Crossroads, families are valued and essential partners in the learning process.
