This program prepares for entry-level employment as an electrician’s helper. Install, troubleshoot and repair all types of residential electrical systems. Topics include electrical safety and construction codes, combination circuits, wiring methods, low voltage wiring, location/planning/installation, switches and controls, current measurement, series and parallel circuits, estimating and residential wiring methods.
Certification: OSHA 10 Basic Safety
Residential Electricity requires that all applicants take a reading assessment prior to enrollment. The exam will be scheduled once the application is received, and enrollment opens in June.

1. Jeans or other heavy duty cotton work pants
2. Work boots
