    Description:

    Jorge Cuevas demonstrates many unusual and traditional percussion instruments from around the world. He discusses geographic and cultural origins while allowing participants to play instruments. By conducting exercises he gives students an understanding of time and space in rhythm/music.

    Examples of some of his Afro-Latin rhythms include: Salsa; Merengue; Cha-Cha-Cha; Bomba; Plena; etc...

    For an extended and more meaningful experience, you may also add/include this workshop in Jorge's entry "Residencies."

    $500 - full day (up to 7 periods)
