Welcome,
You have indicated that you would like to take classes at Broome-Tioga BOCES that will help you get your High School Equivalency Diploma. There are three steps to the Orientation.
1. The first step is to complete a google form. You can use your phone, tablet, or computer. This form will allow us to get information required by New York State. The form is at this link… https://forms.gle/GngxxzwPdQrhf4r56
2. Once you submit the form, the following Monday morning you will get a follow-up email with a link for the Orientations. The Orientation is generally held every Monday at 10:15 am and Tuesday at 4 pm (you only need to attend one). The Zoom room will open approximately 10 minutes early and be locked 10 minutes after the orientation begins. You are not required to have your video on. Generally the orientation lasts 30-45 minutes. *If school is closed on Monday, the orientation moves to Tuesday.
3. During the Orientation, we will talk about the available class times and TABE testing. You are required to identify the time you are willing to commit to the program and agree to TABE test in-person within 1 week. Classes are in-person or through a packet program. Please understand that you are expected to complete at least 6 hours a week of work either in person or through our GRASP packet program.
Thank you for your interest in taking classes with us. Please make sure you are personally ready to commit to coming to class and working on schoolwork before you take these steps to join our program.
