Certified Nurse Aide

Certified Nurse Aide

Prepare for employment as a Certified Nurse Aide. Employment is in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Training includes responsibilities of a nurse aide, patient rights, anatomy, physiology, aging process, infection control, taking vital signs, and body mechanics. Also included are basic care topics such as bathing, feeding, bed making, and patient comfort.

The Certified Nurse Aide Program requires a minimum 8th grade reading level. An assessment test will be scheduled when registration is received.

   FALL

   Dates:  TBD
   Hours:  140
   Days:    Mondays & Tuesdays
   Time:    4:00 pm - 8:00 pm  --- 2 Saturdays & 1 Sunday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
   Tuition: $2,275
   The following items are needed in the CNA class:
     1. royal blue scrubs
     2. white, waterproof shoes with backs
     3. watch with a second hand
     4. physical exam

 
   SPRING

   Dates:  TBD
   Hours:  140
   Days:    Tuesdays & Wednesdays
   Time:    4:00 pm - 8:00 pm  --- 2 Saturdays & 1 Sunday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Registration Options



Attend an Information Meeting – 

Information meetings provide detailed information on programs, registration procedures and tuition assistance options. They will be held on the first Tuesday in April, June and October at 10:30AM and 5:00PM in the Education Center at 435 Glenwood Road. Please call ahead to register.

Tuition includes textbooks and program specific supplies.  Any personal items, such as uniforms, watches and footwear are the responsibility of the student.
