Nicole Waskie-Laura BOCES librarian named 'Administrator of the Year'

Librarians in the Broome-Tioga BOCES region each year nominate an administrator who has made significant contributions to the field of school librarianship. They nominate an administrator who is knowledgeable about school libraries and who advocates for school librarians and for the work of librarians in supporting students. The nominees are visionary about the future of school librarianship, literacy and technology.

On May 17, 2018, at the annual “Sharing the Vision” conference for librarians and administrators from districts in the Broome-Tioga BOCES region, Nicole Waskie-Laura was recognized as the “Administrator of the Year.”

Dougherty award winner Occupational therapist receives BOCES’ top leadership award
The most prestigious service award annually bestowed by the Broome-Tioga Board of Cooperative Educational Services this year goes to Elaine Schneider, a longtime occupational therapist and department team leader. (click on headline to read more)

Two students in BOCES Evertech High School studio art class - Heather Sullivan and Morgan Curtis – recently placed 2nd and 3rd (respectively) in the “Underage Drinking Prevention Poster Contest” sponsored by Lourdes Youth Services, Mirabito, Stop DWI New York, Care Compass Network, Drug Free Communities and the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
