Students, staff help fill food pantries with 'canstruction' projects
This year’s contest featured 13 designs by area organizations, all doing their part to highlight international hunger-relief efforts while also supporting local pantries at CHOW and the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
The two BOCES’ entries included students and staff from CTE Leadership/SkillsUSA teaming with Visions Federal Credit Union, and New Visions students and staff teaming with Lockheed Martin.
The CTE/VFCU design won the Structural Integrity award, while the New Vision/Lockheed project received the People’s Choice Large award.
The event is hosted by the Broome Leadership Institute Alumni Association.
