Preschoolers learn computer coding on field trip to BOCES
A group of prekindergarten children from Chenango Valley Nursery School took a field trip to BOCES to play games designed by the Computer Science students. Huddled side-by-side over their laptops, the two groups explored how simple video games are made and how basic changes in the coding can impact the game.

The P-TECH student created the games specifically for the preschool visit using a programming platform call “Scratch.” Each game was designed to help preschool children learn the alphabet, identify colors and to count.
