Famous faces adorn the walls for Black History Month Challenge
Facing an ever-changing wall of photos of significant Black figures from history, ELC students are challenged to correctly identify the men and women in the photos and to give a fact or two about their contributions. The photos range from the very well-known (Muhammed Ali, for example) to the lesser known from long ago (Dred Scott, for example).
ELC’s Ezra Jackson, Patricia Whitney and May Lopez are the curators of the Black history wall. They also hand out candy bars to those students who have an impressive round walking and talking about those pictured on the wall.
