We celebrated the grand opening of our newly improved food pantry at West Learning Center on October 16. With that date being World Food Day 2023, it was appropriate to unveil the new food pantry after also receiving a $14,000 grant from the Southern Tier Food Pantry. The grant helped purchase two large refrigerator/freezer units.
This expansion is due to the diligent work of two former WLC staff members, Becky Rafferty, and Mike Rice. Without their work on the project, none of this success would’ve been possible.
The WLC food pantry pick-up for participating members of the community will be every Wednesday going forward, from noon until 2 p.m.
