Statewide social studies resource development session held

On February 12, Broome-Tioga BOCES Professional Development & Resource Center welcomed school library system coordinators, curriculum coordinators, professional development specialists and administrators who attended a workshop designed to build capacity and share resources related to changes in state social studies standards.
Twenty-one BOCES were represented. Work groups spent the day defining curricular and instructional changes, compiling resources from different regions and discussing best practice for leading and providing the professional development necessary for districts, teachers and students to successfully take on these exciting changes.
