BOCES athletes to compete in Special Olympics national games

Lamb, 15, a tenth-grader in BOCES’ Oak Tree program (for students with autism), and Summers, 16, also an Oak Tree student, were selected following their performances in the state games this past summer (Lamb in the 400 m run, Summers in bowling). Their coaches, family members and staff at BOCES are very excited and proud of their accomplishments and wish them great success at the nationals.

The 2018 Special Olympics USA Games will be conducted July 1-6 in Seattle, Wash.. More than 4,000 athletes and coaches representing 50 state programs and the District of Columbia are expected to attend, along with tens of thousands of volunteers and spectators. Athletes will compete in 14 Olympic-type team and individual sports.
