Notes of caring help 'turn those frowns upside down'

Maerkl, a long-time Broome-Tioga BOCES monitor, greets students at her daily check-in post at with brightly colored homemade affirmation cards that contain messages such as “You are worth it,” and “Love what matters.”
“It’s nice to give them little reminders,” she said.
Putting smiles on our students’ faces…all in a day’s work.
