Roughly 100 fifth-graders from seven area school districts enrolled this year in Broome-Tioga BOCES Career & Technical Education Summer Camp.
The camp enables students to explore and experience a variety of different possible career paths, including culinary arts, heavy equipment operation, cosmetology, criminal justice, plumbing, electricity and health science. Each day, students take off on a different adventure in a new and interesting hands-on educational activity focused on real-world career possibilities.

Local employers, military service recruiters and more than 50 Broome-Tioga BOCES 2019 graduates took part in the first-ever Pipelines to Employment Signing Day on June 21. The graduates, who have accepted a local job or enlisted for military service, were recognized as they signed their “letters of intent,” similar to the way student-athletes have their “signing day.” Congratulations to all!  Click here to view photos from the event. [ for more]

Broome-Tioga BOCES seniors Tariah Youman (CTE) and Sean Cook-Neild (West Learning Center) were among 19 students from local high schools who were honored by the School-to-Careers Partnership of Broome and Tioga Counties at the 22nd Annual Partnership for Excellence Recognition Event June 5.
