Jorge engages students to teach them the easiest and most exciting Latin dance: the Dominican Republic's national dance, "Merengue." First, Jorge demonstrates the basic step and turns, then has the participants practice & learn a full choreography of the different turns.

Both the students & the teachers have a great time learning this dance!

With a minimum of 3 sessions, the choreographed repertoire of turns can be used for a performance for the rest of the school. The performance can be done to pre-recorded music or along with one of Jorge's Latin bands.

For an extended an more meaningful experience, you may also add/include this workshop in Jorge's entry "Residencies."
