Location: The Center
Minimum Salary: Hourly
Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a Policy Board comprised of local educators.
- Collaborate with Broome-Tioga BOCES for implementing the mission of the Teacher Center.
- Support teachers using the Center's work room during hours of operation.
-Coordinate and/or provide professional development for educators who are aligned with the approved grand and aligned with current NYS initiatives.
- Coordinate submission of annual grant, reports, and budgets required by SED.
- Participate in state Teacher Center Director meetings and in regional Southern Tier Teacher Center Network meetings.
Hours of Teacher Center operation: Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-6:30 PM.
Minimum Qualifications:
- NYS Teacher Certification
- Knowledge of educational trends, current research and practices, state mandates, and instructional technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Facilitation skills
- Experience supporting quality professional development for teachers
- Experience with use of technology in instruction and program administration
- Travel to state and regional meetings is required
