Welcome to the Science K-12 Professional Learning and Resource page!  Here you will find information about the proposed NYS Science Learning Standards, resources available through our Regional Center for Science and Math, as well as regional professional learning opportunities.

NYS Science Learning Standards

New York adopted new Science Standards, effective July 2017.  These standards are based on the Framework for K-12 Science Education and the Next Generation Science Standards.  The link below will take you to the NYS Science Learning Standards, but it is also recommended that you familiarize yourself with appendices of the Next Generation Science Standards included as a link below.

Regional Center for Science and Math

The PLIC's Regional Center for Science and Math provides subscribing districts with access to:
  • Over 80 kits which include lessons and materials to enhance classroom content.
  • Portable Planetarium 
  • Robotics kits that include sets of Dash & Dot, Cubelets, and Ozobots.
