Description:
Tri-Cities Opera presents Goldie B. Locks and the Three Singing Bears. This children’s opera, adapted by renowned arts educator and former Tri-Cities Opera artist John Davies, is another delightful creation with a gentle "message" about owning up to your mistakes and confiding in the people you trust. It features a modern-day Goldie with a love of bugs, a baby bear named Peek who's determined to earn the Detective Merit Badge for his Junior Smoky Scout Troop, and plenty of kid-friendly humor! Songs like “Oh, Momma’s Soup” and “We Will be the Best of Friends” engage young audiences and inspire life-long music/opera appreciation. The 45-minute staging is ideal for elementary ages. The presentation is framed by a brief introduction to the show and opera audience participation and a question-and-answer session afterward, in which the children get to interact directly with the performers. Includes colorful scenery, costumes, and souvenir bookmarks.
