GED/High School Equivalency

GED/High School Equivalency & Adult Basic Education

Broome-Tioga BOCES offers GED/High School Equivalency classes for students 17 years or older, as well as a home study program, GRASP (Giving Ready Adults a Study Program) for students 21 years or older to help students prepare for the GED/High School Equivalency exam.  Both are offered at no charge.
 
 
HOW TO ENROLL:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our orientations are virtual and held every Monday at 10:15am or 4:00pm.  Please call 763-3638 to register for the orientation.  You will need to provide your email address to receive the link for registration.

Beginner and advanced level English classes are available via Zoom, Monday - Thursday each week that school is in session.  Click here or call 763-3638 for instructions on registration.

TASC Alternative Program for High School Students

 
This program is for high school students ages 16-21 who are at-risk of not completing the requirements for a high school diploma.  The programs goal is to help students successfully obtain a GED diploma, increase their life-skill training and assist with obtaining employment.  Programs options include half-day academic preparation or full-day academic preparation with work experience opportunities.  Enrollment through your local school district.
 
Our program is currently located at the East Learning Center, 164 Hawley St., Binghamton.
