The event, co-sponsored by the Eastern Southern Tier STEM Hub and SUNY Broome, gives area high school and middle school students the opportunity to showcase their ingenuity and talent in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) while building and designing robots.
The competition included 168 students from 13 schools ranging from elementary to high school facing six different challenges either remote controlled or programmed.
Overall, BOCES’ New Visions team took third place with the P-TECH team earning fourth.
