Broome-Tioga BOCES Adult Education is now accepting applications for the spring semester. Classes being offered in January and February include Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Sterile Processing Technician (conducted at Guthrie in Sayre, Pa.), Foundations of Manufacturing, Residential Electric and Welding. Applications are also being taken for fall 2016 Practical Nursing Program. For more information on any of our Adult Education Programs, call (607) 763-3616 or email: [email protected]

Our Adult Education program is also offering a new course for former cosmetology students who are short of the required 1,000 hours of instruction needed for to take the NYS board exam, or who just want to brush up on techniques before taking the exam.

Our Cosmetology Completion Program and NYS Board Review is being offered in 50-hour class segments at a cost of $440 per segment. Students can purchase a seat in just one segment of 50 hours or combine segments to receive up to 500 hours of instruction.

Classes will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m.  The first class is scheduled to start November 30, 2015.

To get started, you will need to complete our Adult Education application and provide proof (from the institution you originally took cosmetology from) of the hours you have already completed.
