A lot of hard work by students and staff in several of our career programs was recognized recently when representatives from CHOW and several of its supporting organizations visited campus to check out the brightly-painted bus that will soon be used to deliver nutritious food to residents throughout the community.The full-sized bus has been in the auto-repair garages for several weeks as students sanded, painted, wired, furnished and installed equipment to make it a mobile fresh food pantry. CHOW will use the vehicle to serve county residents who don’t have ready access to nutritious food. CHOW Director Mike Leahey said the bus will also be available to help various community groups with transportation needs.
