Description:
This is being offered as a three-part series (all half-days). Participants are required to attend the FBA and BIP session of the series as a prerequisite to the third session, Progress Monitoring:
- Session 1- FBA
- Session 2 - BIP
- Session 3 - Progress Monitoring the BIP (Must attend session 1&2)
During the sessions, participants will:
- Review NYS Regulations
- Define behavior and the purpose it serves
- Review ABCs of behavior - Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence
- Practice developing hypotheses statements
- Examine data collection tools & web-related resources
- Review forms for critical elements
- Utilize a competing behavior pathway to align function to interventions
- Examine & discuss intervention ideas for replacement behaviors
- Examine tools for progress monitoring
- Action plan for next steps for a team approach
Note: We will be taking your team through the entire process from FBA to BIP and progress monitoring - Please bring a current FBA/BIP (any documentation started) that your team is in the process of conducting. This will be utilized for all 3 sessions. Please remove or blacken out name.
