A senior in Broome-Tioga BOCES’ Evertech Academy studying auto technology, Skojec is on a career path that is preparing him for success in his chosen field, including a good-paying job straight out of school. Described by his teachers as a highly motivated team player and excellent communicator, Skojec recently received the “All-star Award” from state Sen. Fred Akskar.
“I don’t like to brag, but I’m proud of myself. I did something good for myself and it feels good,” Skojec said.
After struggling as a ninth-grader at Vestal, Skojec has flourished in the Evertech Academy. “I believe everyone should have that opportunity to turn their life around and do something good for themselves,” he said.
