Mayor shares firsthand insights into business success

Learning from experience and pursuing one’s passion were among the messages Binghamton Mayor Rich David shared with a group of BOCES students during a visit November 25.

Speaking to students in BOCES’ Hospitality Industry Careers class and Culinary Arts class, David recounted some of the many ups and downs he has experienced both as a businessman and politician. As the owner of Terra Cotta Catering, located at Stephan’s Square in Binghamton, David shared firsthand insights into the food service and hospitality industries. He urged students to gain as much as experience and knowledge as they can and use it to follow their dreams.
