The dozens of local business people who comprise the committees that advise our career and technical education programs gave a warm reception to some students who best exemplify the skills learned in those programs.

The annual Trade Committee Breakfast recently conducted at Broome-Tioga BOCES featured many of the students who brought home awards from April's state SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse. Seven of those students earned the privilage of attending the national SkillsUSA competition later this month in Louisville, Ky. Overall, the BOCES team placed third out of the 80 teams competing at the state event.

Here is a photo gallery from the Trade Commmitte Breakfast.
