Who We Are

The School-to-Careers Partnership of Broome and Tioga Counties (STC) is a not-for-profit organization made up of partners that support STC initiatives. The partners include school districts, businesses, community agencies, professional associations, and labor organizations in our area. The Partnership is governed by an independent Board of Directors. STC is part of the Division of Career Services of BOCES. Our main offices are located on BOCES maincampus at 435 Glenwood Road, Binghamton.

Our Background

Realizing the need to strengthen the ties between education and business, educators from local school districts and business representatives formed the School and Business Alliance of Broome and Tioga Counties (SABA) in 1987. With the passage of the School-to-Work Opportunities Act in 1994, the organization expanded and became SABA and the School-to-Work Partnership of Broome and Tioga Counties. In September 1997, the two organizations merged and became the School-to-Careers Partnership of Broome and Tioga Counties (STC). In the 2000-2001 school year, STC became part of the Division of Career Services of Broome-Tioga BOCES.
