The Office of Communications & Development provides professional assistance in planning and implementing
effective communications services, with the primary goal of cultivating community awareness and increasing public
understanding of the issues and events that impact the quality and character of local schools. Subscribers can
tailor the service to meet their needs and budgets. Our services include:
- Publications: writing, editing, layout and production of newsletters, brochures, calendars, flyers, etc.
- Internal communications: letters, programs, handbooks, etc.
- Graphic design: logos, letterheads, posters, covers, invitations, etc.
- Press releases and media contacts.
- Community relations.
- Photography.
- Displays.
- Editing/proofreading.
- Website writing/editing and design.
- Grant writing and resource development.
- Professional development in these (above) and other areas.
- Event planning: ceremonies, workshops, etc.
- Advertising and promotions: TV, radio, print.
- Video/audio presentations: script writing, planning and production.
- Focus groups and marketing research.
Participation levels
Charges are based on the scope of services requested. Participation levels typically are based on the percentage of
time that a communications coordinator works directly with the customer, ranging from one day a week (20%) to four
days a week (80%). Project-based services are also available.
