Broome-Tioga BOCES offers a variety of instructional enrichment opportunities. The purpose of the Extended Classroom service is to connect teachers with community education partners who can provide enhanced learning modules that may include:

• Resources and visitations outside the classroom that provide hands-on, meaningful opportunities to apply and stimulate learning.
• The availability of an outside resource person to assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Classroom materials and activities that help students develop key knowledge, skills, and processes.
• Instructional objectives aligned with the NYS Learning Standards and assessments.

The Extended Classroom venues and their programs are available online to help administrators, coordinators, teachers and PTA representatives meet these goals. Please read the instructions on how to find and request an extended classroom program. Please note that you are not limited to the venues listed on our site. To arrange for a potential new venue or for further information you may contact Tammi Goltry at 766-3772 or tgoltry@btboces.org. Admission tickets, transportation and lodging for activities associated with this Co-Ser are not eligible for BOCES aid.
