Skills USA
Vocational Industrial Clubs of America

SkillsUSA Logo Employers want their workers to bring more than specific skills to the job. They want a well-rounded worker who can get along with other employees and the public. Skills USA keeps skills training on the cutting edge and prepares its members for the workforce.

Skills USA has 245,000 members in clubs across the country. Skills USA clubs are found in high schools, area vocational-technical centers, career centers, technical schools, and community colleges.

Skills USA plays a role in preparing students for the work world. While schools educate they don't always prepare students for the working world after high school. BOCES, with Skills USA, helps students become outstanding employees.

Members of the Broome-Tioga BOCES Skills USA club attend leadership conferences. These leadership conferences are designed to help the students showcase their skills. Students are eligible for prizes and scholarships.
