Work-Based Learning: A Resource Guide for Change (1994)

The purpose of this guide is to provide schools, business/industry, service delivery areas, organized labor, parents/guardians, and community-based organizations with resources to develop or further refine work-based learning strategies or components. The guide is divided into two sections. The first section contains basic information about work-based learning including the scope, foundation, categories, and operation. The second section provides more detail about the various work-based learning activities from career exploration to actual paid employment. Each activity is followed by several case studies - actual examples of the model implemented in different venues.

American Careers: Student Career Planning Activity Guide (1995)

This guidebook of creative career planning activities has been organized for use by teachers, counselors, mentors, parents, and students. Articles and activities are drawn mainly from previously published American Careers magazines used by students, teachers and counselors in most states since 1990. A group of guidance professionals reviewed all of this material and selected activities and information that appeared to be most relevant, stimulating, fun and effective.

Career Investigation: A Comprehensive Career Exploration Curriculum for School-to-Work Transition (1994)

This guide provides materials arranged and recommended by three Career Investigation Instructors. Their main reason for providing this guide is their firm belief that the instructional program is of benefit to students and should be provided and shared with instructors and public educational institutions throughout the United States. There are three books (first six weeks, second six weeks, and third six weeks).
